People of South Africa So were there Africans (blacks - Xhosa and Zulu) in the Cape in 1652? I doubt it very much. They where busy colonizing the East of SA. Here is some interesting reading showing the Rainbow Nation in full colour! Note - the Dutch had to import their slaves!
